Yes , After I wrote my own pages - an old longing for commercial design / desktop publishing came back. I studied html, experimented with the latest formatting and then offered my services to a couple of business associates - inexpensively for experience. They were very pleased and got very favourable responses. I then found more coming to me for page designing and on it goes !

I work with people the same way as I do when designing their home, I listen carefully. To see what they want to accomplish, study how they have advertised in the past, then suggest a game plan. Once we have a basic idea of how comprehensive they want their pages to be, how they should approach the Net, and they give me some idea of content - graphics (to scan) and text. I then go back and "sketch" out some story boards and link relationships. I present these to the client and suggest supplementary information or graphics to spice up the pages. Along with getting their message across (usually selling a product or service) we want to create and imaginative, interesting atmosphere.
