Above being a member of the ASSTBC, I am a certified Registered Building Designer , a member in good standing with the Building Designers Institute of BC. This means I am bound by a society's rules of practice, particiate in regular educational upgrades, and carry Errors and Ommissions Insurance. As a proud graduate of the Building Technology Diploma (with honours) from British Columbia Instutute of Technology.

In Greater Victoria an Owner and his Designer must address the concerns of neighborhood associations, heritage designations, heritage trees and community plans above the usual good architectural practice. I'm a designer that sincerely deals with all interested parties.

Ron enjoys all aspects of design but particularly finds rezoning and development permit applications satisfying challenges. He has a good rapport with municipal planners and is quite comfortable speaking to councils, committees and design panels. Pic of My Sign

I've coined the term
"Build it Digitally. . . First !!"
because I primarily design with APDesign. software which in fact BUILDS the 3D Autocad Model. This enables people to understand their design better. It also helps demonstrate bylaw conformity and height measurement on properties with complicated grades, sites. Also specific views of the project can be demonstrated. Being Autocad based I am able to begin work with a surveyors actual file, preserving accuracy, then go onto pass a file to any consultant and have them able to work with it.
